In December 2025, Cedar Community proudly expanded its senior living services with the addition of The Gardens, a Cedar Community. This opportunity reflects our continued commitment to serving older adults with compassionate, best-in-class care across the region.

The Gardens allows us to further our mission–creating life-enhancing relationships, services, and environments–while offering residents the opportunity to live with greater independence, purpose, and peace of mind.

Being a Cedar Community means The Gardens in Hartford is connected to Cedar Community’s mission, senior living experience, and care philosophy. For residents and families, that connection reinforces The Gardens’ focus on comfort, independence, compassionate support, and peace of mind.

Residents also have preferred access to therapy, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing care at Cedar Community.

When did The Gardens become part of Cedar Community?

Cedar Community expanded its senior living services with the addition of The Gardens in December 2025. This brought The Gardens into Cedar Community’s broader network of senior living and care services in Wisconsin.

What mission guides The Gardens?

The Gardens in Hartford is guided by Cedar Community’s mission of creating life-enhancing relationships, services, and environments. That mission supports a community focused on comfort, connection, compassionate care, and purposeful living.

Was The Gardens formerly known as Spero Gardens?

Yes. The Gardens in Hartford was formerly known as Spero Gardens and operated under Koru Health. Following Cedar Community’s acquisition in December 2025, Cedar Community assumed ownership in March 2026.

Families and community members who previously knew the senior living community as Spero Gardens can now find it under its new name: The Gardens, a Cedar Community. The new name reflects its place within Cedar Community while continuing to serve residents and families in the Hartford community.
